At a glance

Paddy Power publishes sports betting and horse-racing rules alongside separate terms for its gaming products. This review focuses on the checks an adult reader in Great Britain can make before using its online service. Eligibility elsewhere, including Northern Ireland, needs a separate check; a familiar brand name does not establish the rules for every location or product.

The operator's regulatory page identifies several businesses rather than one licence covering everything. Its page is version-labelled August 2023, so we compared it with the current Gambling Commission register and general terms on 30 September 2026. Start from the official domain and match the legal entity to the service you intend to use.

Which business holds the relevant licence?

The current Commission entry for PPB Counterparty Services Limited, account 39439, shows active remote betting on real events and virtual events. This is the sports-betting entity identified in Paddy Power's regulatory information and terms. The account number is a register identifier, not an independent quality score.

For gaming, the operator lists PPB Entertainment Limited and PPB GE Limited among the relevant businesses. We checked their register entries, accounts 39426 and 52819: both show active remote casino and bingo activities. A reader moving from a sportsbook to a casino product should check that product's terms and named company instead of assuming the sportsbook rules carry across.

A current active licence does not erase regulatory history. The Commission's decision dated 17 December 2025 records social-responsibility failings involving four Paddy Power Betfair licensees, including PPB Counterparty Services and PPB Entertainment. The £2 million payment in lieu of a financial penalty was the combined settlement described for the four licensees; it was not a separate £2 million payment by each. Read the dated decision alongside today's licence status, without treating either as a guarantee about a future experience.

Things to compare

For a sportsbook, read the settlement rules and any restrictions on promotions. Availability of particular markets and features can change. The useful comparison is the precise bet you are considering: the event, market wording, applicable period, quoted price and stake. Our odds explanation separates the potential return from the chance of a result.

Paddy Power's published rules distinguish sport-specific settlement and different types of multiple bet. Its enhanced-price section normally uses normal time plus injury time, excluding extra time or penalties unless the bet or rules specify otherwise. Do not carry that wording into every market without checking its own terms.

For racing, save the race and selection identifiers, each-way place terms if relevant, and the applicable non-runner or deduction rule. A promotional headline is not enough to reconstruct a disputed bet. The void and settlement guide explains how to identify the rule and preserve a receipt rather than guessing from the final scoreboard.

Cash out has conditions

The operator says Cash Out applies to selected bets and a request is not guaranteed to succeed. Suspension, a price movement or a technical problem can prevent acceptance, and availability can be withdrawn. Its rules say a successful request displays confirmation; the shown return includes the relevant stake. Using it can also affect promotion eligibility.

Treat an unconfirmed request as unresolved, not as proof that a bet has closed. Save the confirmation and check the settled transaction. Cash out is a settlement feature, not insurance against losing money, and its possible availability is not a reason to place a bet you cannot afford to lose.

Account and payment checks

The general terms require adults to register accurate details and explain identity checks. They also say the account currency cannot be changed after opening. Their withdrawal section describes checks and a payment-routing policy that may require money to return to methods used for deposits. We have not tested how those provisions are applied to an individual account or measured withdrawal times.

Before sending money, record the currency, method ownership, deposit and withdrawal availability, any displayed charges and limits. Our payment-method checklist helps organise those questions. If a withdrawal is delayed, use the withdrawal checks guide to distinguish an operator review from payment-provider processing. Do not make an extra deposit merely to investigate a payment problem.

Offers and eligibility

No specific bonus is advertised on this page. If you choose a promotion on the operator's site, check the eligible location, minimum odds, qualifying stake and deadlines. Also record whether registration or opt-in is required, how a reward is credited and what makes an otherwise settled bet ineligible.

Keep the exact offer terms with the receipt rather than relying on a later version of the page. Our guide to reading gambling offers provides a checklist. A reward should not determine your spending or encourage another bet after a loss.

Complaints and account controls

Paddy Power's published dispute policy starts with customer services and then its complaints team. For UK transaction disputes it identifies IBAS and asks customers to obtain a deadlock email with a reference. The policy describes a usual response period of 10 days but allows up to eight weeks in some UK cases; that is published procedure, not a response-time test by Pickybet.

Save dates, the transaction reference, the relevant rule and the remedy you are requesting. Our complaints guide explains how to prepare a clear record and check ADR eligibility. For help with gambling itself, use safer-gambling support. Read the separate account-controls guide for current GB limit rules, time-outs and self-exclusion; this review does not certify each control in Paddy Power's logged-in interface.

Our research

This overview is based on published operator information and Commission records, checked on 30 September 2026. Pickybet has not tested deposits, withdrawals or support, and does not award a numerical score on that basis. We have not compared live prices, measured support response times or confirmed every account-specific offer.
